Mott Haven Academy Charter School - Bronx, NY

Haven Academy had to vacate PS 43 Jonas Bronck School and re-open in time for the 2010 school year while its new school was still under construction. Facing tight deadlines and an active construction site of the seven-story building, RMS quickly transitioned the school to its new state-of-the-art educational complex. The school design includes a close partnership with one of the city's largest social service agencies, The New York Foundling. By co-locating the school and family support services, Haven Academy distinctly provides students and families a seamless continuum of care to maximize success.

The New York City Center for Charter School Excellence

The New York City Center for Charter School Excellence was formed to assist the existing 47 NYC charter schools with operational issues and to work with the NYC to reach the goal of opening another 50 charter schools. The Center has contracted RMS to participate in this effort.

The Brooklyn Charter School - Brooklyn, NY

The Brooklyn Charter School’s relocation was unique. When BCS needed expansion space the Board of Education requested they occupy space within a public school facility in Brooklyn. All services were required to go through the Board of Education. This was extremely cost effective but a challenge during the scheduling process. RMS was able to keep on top of the relocation process and all was completed in time for the new school year to begin

John A. Reisenbach Charter School - New York, NY

RMS oversees the facilities function at the Reisenbach Charter School managing construction projects, internal relocations, telecommunications, janitorial and security. Also responsible for qualifying and implementing maintenance contracts and developing policies and procedures.

Newark Charter School - Newark, NJ

Newark Charter School had been operating out of trailers in downtown Newark, NJ and were in the process of relocating to a more permanent facility. RMS made their transition to their new site as seamless as possible. RMS coordinated the charter school’s voice and data installation as well as the physical relocation and removal of the trailers from the temporary site.

Amber Charter School - New York, NY

An aggressive one-month move in date brought the need for a project management team to plan and oversee the renovation and relocation phase of their move-in to a new facility. The relocation was completed on time and within budget. Management at Amber was so pleased with the outcome that they asked RMS to continue working with the school on a contracted basis to direct their facility management, janitorial, security and telecommunications functions.

Kings Park Central School District, Kings Park, NY

Assisted in the evaluation of the district’s telecommunication’s network, equipment and billing. Based on the recommended decision the outcome was a 40% savings.
