• Budget and cost analysis.
• Plan, schedule and direct staff in the maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
• Assure all utility systems are fully operational and inspected in accordance with preventive
maintenance schedules.
• Direct telecommunications and computer functions including the planning, designing, installation
and maintenance of networks.
• Direct scheduling, maintenance and monitoring of HVAC, water, electric and other systems
ensuring efficient operation.
• Coordinate construction, remodeling and repair projects. Obtain cost estimates, prepare reports
and make recommendations concerning procurement of outside contractors. Inspect work for
conformance to specifications.
• Develop, implement and monitor housekeeping services including janitorial functions, snow
removal, trash removal and recycling, maintenance painting, minor repairs, and related
services.
• Oversee and monitor security functions. Ensure adherence to procedures in the protection of
organization property from fire, theft, sabotage, riots, or other situations that may endanger the
well being of staff and children.
• Identify and recommend solutions to health and safety issues.
• Assist in the review of bids and negotiate best pricing to fulfill purchasing requirements.
